When we say the “core competences of operational management,” we are speaking of the necessary competences to fulfil the mission of any manager: to coordinate the conversations and actions of a team such that promises can be made and fulfilled. By becoming new observers of management, we become managers capable of making new assessments of our proficiency in the core competences of management.
