We claim that we can become observers of our moods and begin to develop the capacity to avoid being swept away or overcome by them. Starting with the assessments we can see we make, these moods can be analysed and observed. We can examine the grounding and the standards such moods imply. We can produce new assessments, make new declarations, and take new actions in a way which actually alters the moods. In doing this, we become responsible for our moods by taking action to overcome them and, as a consequence, we shift easily to a more positive and grounded assessment about life.
